Kids Sandwiches
When it comes to children packed lunches it's difficult to get that perfect mix, you want it to be as healthy as possible but you also need to have the treat in there to they eat the healthy stuff, plus a balanced diet is all about eating a little bit of everything.
Children also get bored easily and will probably moan if they have the same sandwiches every day, so on this page we are going to give you a few easy sandwich ideas that will please your child's appetite as well as being healthy and not resulting in you spending ages making them!
Apple and Peanut Butter
This sounds like a bit of a random mix together but it actually tastes great and it's also a great way of getting your little ones to eat fruit!

How to make it;
1. First thing to do is to cut your apple up, slice it getting rid of the core and peel the skin off, the grate it.
2. The get you bread and spread one side on each slice with peanut butter, then add the grated/sliced apple to one slice and put the other one on top!
Grilled ham and cheese
This is a really tasty sandwich for kids and adults; however it requires being made in the morning rather than the night before so you will have to make some extra time in the morning to make it although it only takes 5 minutes!

How to make them;
1. Firstly get a pan and heat the knob of butter over a medium heat, then add a slice of bread.
2. Then on the bread put 1 slice of cheese on, then some ham and sliced up tomato and then add the other slice of cheese on top and add the other slice of bread.
3. Place a sauce pan lid on top of the sandwich to weigh it down, then flip it over and fry the other side, do this until golden.
Cheese and Banana
This is another great way of getting kid's to eat fruit, again it sounds like an odd combination but it does actually taste great and kids tend to love it.

How to make them;
1. Get your banana's, peel them and then mash them. Once mash add the cream cheese to the bowl and mix together a blender can also be used.
2. Then add the mayonnaise to the mixture and mix well in, when it is a spread, spread onto two slices of bread and put them together.
Turkey-cheese bagel
To mix things up a bit and to get away from bread try a bagel, this are a good healthy option and also taste great, you can toast them too.

How to make it;
1. Spread the bottom half of the bagel with butter, then place some lettuce leaves on top.
2. Then add the turkey breast, then the slice of cheese, then the slices on tomato and 2 tablespoons of alfalfa sprouts and finish off adding the top half of the bagel.
Cheese and pretzel sandwich
This is another change to the normal sandwich; kids will see it as something different and enjoy the change. You can get the soft pretzels fresh at supermarkets or you can buy frozen pack so you have them in and just bake according to the instructions on the pack.

1. Spread the slices of you pretzel, you can either do both or just the bottom, then put on a slice of cheese, followed by a slice of the meat of your choice and then another slice of cheese.
2. You can add a bit of sauce to the sandwich and then but the top layer on and press down.
Chicken and Bacon Pita
These are really tasty and quick to make, they keep well wrapped in foil and are a healthy choice on wholemeal pita bread.

How to make them;
1. Firstly cook your bacon and chicken thoroughly, whilst cooking you can prepare the rest. Cut the pita in half.
2. Then in a bowl slice you tomato and avocado, then when you chicken is cooked slice it up and add to the bowl. You can then add the mayonnaise or salad cream to the bowl and mix them all together.
3. Open you pitas up as wide as you can and fill them with lettuce, then in the middle of the lettuce add the chicken mixture in and they are ready to go.
